TOPPING Centaurus - HIFI R2R DAC, has 8 resistor arrays on its circuit board. Front ones for DSD DAC use "Vector Step Resistance Network", and back ones for PCM DAC adopt R2R structure. Its CPLD-powered decoding unit ensures great sound fidelity and reproduction.
Centaurus R2R DAC has three modes switching feature. OS Mode applies oversampling to boost audio performance with adjustable rates. NOS Mode skips it for an authentic listening experience. Best Mode auto-selects the optimal rate, striking a balance between performance and sound quality.
The Centaurus DAC offers ten bands PEQ adjustment. Its brand new PEQ algorithm and desktop software enable customizing frequency, gain and bandwidth of each band. Supports curve import, compensation and can save multiple profiles for convenient switching.
TOPPING Centaurus R2R DAC features USB/Optic/Coaxial/AES/IIS inputs and RCA/XLR outputs, making it fully balanced DAC. And offers versatile connectivity options, allowing users to interface with a wide range of audio sources and amplification systems.
The Topping Centaurus DAC has not only the fixed output level DAC mode but also a "preamp" mode. In preamp mode, its output volume can be adjusted, saving pre-amplifier cost when connecting to an amplifier or speakers. The remote control adds convenience for usage.
