Shear precision. Not shear under pressure.
These 12.9-grade hardened Torx screws are built for shooters who need lasting strength, clean drive, and a reliable hold under recoil.
Finished in black oxide (blued), they're made to endure.
Available in 6-48 (T10) and 8-40 (T15) thread variants.
Length and head style selectable via variation menu.
Not sure which you need?
Consult your user manual and/or local gunsmith.
Note on Screw Lengths:
All listed lengths refer to the total screw length, including head. Applies to both over-weaver and fillister styles.
Let's be honest — not everyone's using a gunsmith.
No depth gauge? Use a wooden toothpick to check the hole depth without damaging threads. Easy.
Threads may also appear as:
6x48, 6-48, #6-48, No.6-48, 6 48, 6-48 UNEF
8x40, 8-40, #8-40, No.8-40, 8 40, 8-40 UNF
Reference Dimensions & Torque Specs:
- 6-48 = #6 screw, 48 TPI, approx. 0.1380" diameter (3.51 mm)
Recommended torque: 18 in-lbs (2.03 Nm)
- 8-40 = #8 screw, 40 TPI, approx. 0.1640" diameter (4.17 mm)
Recommended torque: 25–28 in-lbs (2.82–3.16 Nm)
Do not exceed 30 in-lbs unless specified by your hardware manufacturer.
Torque values are based on dry threads. Applying lubrication (including oils or grease) will alter the required torque and may result in over-tightening.
Use of blue thread locker is optional—not required—when screws are torqued to nominal tension.
We know over-tightened screws can be good for business… but we'd rather see you back because you're fitting out a new rig—not because your old one went to scrap.
Use the right tools, follow best practices, and give your gear the care it deserves.
Built to industry standards for Scope Ring Bases, optic mounts, and custom rifle platforms.
Ideal for gunsmithing, replacements, and builds where failure is not an option.
Note:
Ensure your Torx drivers are properly ground and fit snugly to the socket head to avoid stripping.
- 6-48 screws use Torx T10
- 8-40 screws use Torx T15
