Applications The anchor is made of carbon steel, and is galvanized. This anchor is designed for use only in concrete, and should never be used in block or brick base material. Environment The anchor is designed for use in a dry environment. Hole Diameter / Bit Diameter The anchor requires a 3/4" hole to be drilled into the base material (concrete only). The hole must be drilled with the carbide tip bit that meets ANSI standards and used in a hammer drill. Anchor Diameter The anchor diameter is 3/4" . Anchor length Anchor length is 4-3 / 4" Thread length The length of the threads in the anchor is 2-1 / 2" in length. The minimum recessed recessed anchor in concrete is 3-1 / 4" . Therefore, the anchor must be installed so that a minimum of 3-1 / 4" of the anchor is embedded in the concrete. Maximum thickness Fixture The maximum attachment thickness or maximum material thickness that is fixed for an anchor is 3/4" . This will ensure that the minimum 3-1 / 4" recessed will be met. Fixture Hole Diameter The hole in the fitting or material being fixed must be greater than the designated diameter of the anchor. The 3/4" diameter anchor requires the hole in the fitting to be 1" . Torque value To properly fit into concrete, the anchor must be tightened to between 150 - 175 ft./lbs. Each anchor must be separated a minimum distance of 7-1 / 2" from each other when measured from center to center. Edge Distance It is very important not to install the anchor closer to 3-3 / 4" from an unsupported concrete edge.
