Description

DuPont Kapton tape is composed of kapton film coated with high temperature silicone adhesive rated up to 500°F. It provides excellent electrical insulation, abrasion resistance and high dielectric strength. Silicone adhesive Kapton tapes are mainly used in applications that require high temperature resistance. Kapton Tape with silicone adhesive are used primarily in electrical applications such as capacitor wrapping, gold finger masking, insulation in transformers, coils, flat cables and connectors and high temperature harness wrapping. Kapton tape's unique ability to maintain its physical, mechanical, and electrical properties and its wide temperature range makes it appealing to a wide range of industries applications.
