Paiste Symphonic gongs are works of sonic mastery destined for sound healers working with gongs. Their flat, scraped surface meets a dark rim that flows back from the face creating a unique shape. They are hand-hammered from nickel silver in the European gong-making tradition. They are not tuned but tend to fall within a certain range at a given size.

For decades, Paiste has paid homage to the Chinese gong-making tradition by offering some of their Symphonic gongs with the traditional Chinese Tai Loi symbols, which can be roughly translated to English as "The Bad will depart, the Good shall arrive" or more simply, "Happiness has arrived." They are hand-hammered from nickel silver in the European gong-making tradition. They are not tuned but tend to fall within a certain range at a given size.

The presence or absence of a logo or symbols will not affect the overall sound of the gong. In choosing, it all comes down to the overlap of your aesthetic preference and gong availability.
