Designed for a long life with proper design, we recommend using a 12V charger with charging amps no larger than 2.24A to recharge this battery. Please confirm that the battery charger is within this spec and is compatible with VRLA GEL batteries. The factory has filled and sealed the battery, making it maintenance-free. It's designed for extended battery life, with the buyer having the option to add electrolyte to the battery. Please note that we recommend letting professionals add the electrolyte at a later stage to prolong the battery life. The battery comes factory-activated. However, for the best performance, we recommend using a trickle charger (0.1C current) to recharge the battery upon receipt.
