Functions:
1.Sealing and Protection. Forms a closed space to prevent gas leakage at the cylinder and valves and prevents dust and other contaminants from entering and reduces the rate of wear.
2.Control Air Flow. The valves and valve springs on the valve covers control the flow of air in and out of the cylinders, thus controlling the pressure and volume of the cylinders.
