Installation:
- Check air cleaner-to-hood clearance to ensure that the additional height of the heat insulator gasket will not cause interference
- Remove the air cleaner and all attachments to the carburetor
- Remove the old base gasket and any additional plates
- Remove the short carb studs and install the longer studs
- Install the divided heat insulator gasket directly on the manifold, then replace the carb and all other connections
