Installation Steps
Removing the old CV axle boot
1. Remove the clamp: Use pliers or a specialized tool to remove the metal/plastic clamp from the old CV axle boot
2. Remove the CV axle boot: Pull the old boot off the drive shaft and clean off any remaining grease
Installing the new CV axle boot
1. Apply grease: Apply specialized grease evenly inside the universal joint and on the balls
2. Install the new boot: You can use a CV boot expander tool to assist in installing the new CV axle boot. First, insert the smaller end of the new boot onto the driveshaft, keeping the correct orientation (the larger end facing the universal joint)
3. Secure the clamps: Use a specialized clamp tool or pliers to tighten the metal clamps, keeping proper sealing
