Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
This is exactly what He did when He laid down His life on the cross, bearing the punishment for our sin. He then rose from the dead to prove that sin and death have been defeated, and now offers us the gift of forgiveness and eternal life!
