Fixing your AirPods Max headphones is NOT easy. It's easy to break the speaker housing on your headphones. We see this often. We have made a repair video for every potential repair video you will need to fix any issue on your headphones. Steps to remove the original battery from the plastic housing. 1. Heat & Remove Old Cover Warm the plastic cover gently for about 5 seconds using a heat gun or hair dryer. While it's warm, pry it off gently with a tool—your flathead or pry tool. Ensure no old adhesive remains; remove it carefully. Repeat on both sides 2. Insert New Battery into Covers Peel the protective film from the new battery's adhesive. Press the battery firmly into the plastic cover, ensuring the ribbon cable is correctly positioned and not pinched. Neatly fold the ribbon cable so everything sits flush 3. Glue for Protection Apply a small line of clear glue where the old adhesive was to protect the cable. Smooth the glue with your screwdriver while it's still warm. Trim any excess glue so it's flush with the housing 4. Reassemble & Enjoy You're done! Reattach the covers and start using your headphones again.
