Martingale Collar is a great solution for your dog's training. The main difference between a martingale collar and a regular collar is that it tightens up as a dog pulls. There is an extra martingale ring than a normal collar, so it will be a little bigger than a normal dog collar. The purpose of this is not to choke a dog but to prevent a dog from escaping the collar.
Please note: The martingale does not Meant for small neck breeds, it has an extra ring so it will be bigger than a normal collar.
The size chart does not include the extra martingale ring length(about 5 inches). The extra ring loop will tighten up when pulling, the extra martingale ring is nearly 5 inches when straightened. Please measure your dog's neck near the top portion and be sure to press down through all its fur to get an accurate measurement. Most people do not press down the fur to get a correct measurement. This leads to them over-measuring their dog's neck. And leads to them ordering a size that is too large.
5/8" wide for small collars,(size range:12"-16") ;

The beginning of the first embroidery character will be somewhat fixed, so sometimes the name/ numbers will be tucked into if you adjust this collar to the smallest length, which does not affect normal use.
The red lock can prevent the buckle from accidentally being opened.
