Description

Overview
Teton Foundry Supply™ prepackaged Hydrocal®* White is a high-performance gypsum-based casting material that reaches an impressive 6000 psi strength when fully cured. Use it where fine-detail reproduction is desired along with chip-resistance.
Supported Applications
-Solid/Hollow casting of various decorative objects
-Low-use foundry patterns and other similar tooling Uses
-Modeling (scenery) and professional art applications
-This product is NOT compatbile with molten metal (do not use as a mold for molten metal)
-This product is NOT recommended for outdoor or wet area use.
-DO NOT use this product to make castings of humans or live animals (severe burns possible).

Directions
-Mix 40 to 41 parts water per 100 parts Hydrocal (by weight)
-Always add plaster to water, sift or break apart lumps in plaster before adding, and mix well.
-Sets approximately 25-35 minutes after mixing
-Clean tools prior to product setting or it may be hard to remove product from tools.

Application Notes
-Product may be carved and/or added to after curing (does not unduly dull tools)
-Appropriate mold release should be used with all patterns to avoid sticking.
-Generally, bubbles should be removed from the pattern surface to avoid visible defects in the casting (a damp paint brush under the surface of the wet plaster works for smaller items)
-Voids from bubbles or other flaws may be patched with a small amount of new plaster as needed.
