Simond Store adjustable ingot mold is made of cast iron which improves corrosion resistance and makes it durable. It is drafted for easy ingot removal. It is used to convert scrap metal into a suitable shape for rolling. Metal is melted in a crucible and poured into the mold. The C clamp releases the plate. These molds are used for forming plates, which then can be rolled out as per dimension. Dimensions shown here are in millimeters and indicate maximum capacity. For smaller capacities, and smaller widths, sides can be adjusted by sliding horizontally. MULTIPLE USAGE An ingot mold is a type of mold used to make ingots from metals like gold, silver bar, brass, aluminum, copper ingots, etc. EASE IN METAL CASTING This heavy-duty ingot mold made of cast iron with excellent thermal stability can uphold high-temperature poured liquid and does not degrade over repeated use. It also has a handle with proper grip for the easy and safe movement of the hot liquid and to avoid any injuries from the spilling of the hot liquid metal. Once it cools down, removing the ingot from the mold is easy with the kind of cavity shape & design it has. TIP FOR EASY REMOVAL OF INGOT A releasing agent is a chemical used to prevent other materials from bonding to surfaces. This ingot mold requires releasing agent to release the ingot easily from the mold. It forms a layer between your mold and the casting agent. This prevents the casting from sticking to your mold. It has tapper sides which makes an ingot get easily mold release.
