Glass Art - Handmade in North Carolina
This is a 7.5" 6mm thick blue mid-century modern style fused glass bowl with an abstract design in three shades of vitrigraph in complementary colors. Vitrigraph is produced from molten glass ribbons that are pulled from the bottom of a supported kiln to make swirly shapes and canes and twists.
Makes a timeless and elegant accessory for an entry table, kitchen counter, or in a mid-century modern decor. This is a versatile catchall bowl that has a hundred uses, whether in the bathroom or kitchen or as table art throughout your home.
It makes a welcome gift, whether for a business gift or for a wedding, birthday, anniversary, retirement, best friend, bridal shower or housewarming, or a gift for yourself to celebrate how special you are.
When you purchase this dish you are supporting the American art glass movement. This dish was made in North Carolina with fusible art glass that is made by hand in Portland, Oregon at Bullseye Glass, one of only a few remaining art glass manufacturers in the United States. The dish was fired in a kiln that was manufactured in Texas. The wet belt sander that was used for cold working was made in California.
