Snakeskin agate is a variety of agate with botryoidal formations that give the stone a "bumpy" appearance. Snakeskin agate can be found in Rome and close to Prineville in Oregon in the U.S. The material can be nicely polished and is commonly sold tumbled, although it's also cut into beads or carved into various objects, such as hearts.
