Description

The GLC-SX-MMD is a high-performance Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver module designed for Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel applications over multimode fiber. Compliant with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), this hot-pluggable 1000Base-SX SFP is engineered to deliver seamless interoperability across standard SFP-based networking equipment. Operating at 850nm with a Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL), the GLC-SX-MMD supports data rates up to 1.25Gbps for Ethernet and 1.063Gbps for Fibre Channel, making it an ideal solution for high-speed data links in enterprise networks, data centers, and optical distribution environments.
