Ready for Vegas, baby? If you aren't able to catch the next flight, consider Vegas Games 2000 instead. With seven classic casino games, you can gamble away the night without emptying your bank account. Multiple players (up to four) can choose from poker (five- and seven-card stud, five-card draw, jacks or better, Texas hold 'em), blackjack (one, two, or four decks), baccarat, craps, and roulette. Single players have two additional choices: slot machines and video poker (double down, jacks or better, jokers wild, 10s or better, deuces wild). Watch out for your computer poker opponents--they love to bluff. Fortunately, your computer opponents will occasionally make mistakes.
Vegas Games 2000 does not allow you to walk the floor, so you'll miss out on the unique Las Vegas atmosphere. Nonetheless, the menus are easy to read with colorful logos and images, and the games load quickly. The soundtrack to the game consists of an ongoing loop of gamblers celebrating, sighs from the agony of defeat, coins dropping, and levers being pulled, which can get repetitious. Suggestion: turn off the game audio and crank up some Frank Sinatra. --Kasty Thomas
Pros:
Good variety of games
Extremely helpful manual
Supports multiple players, good for group fun
Cons:Soundtrack becomes repetitious
