  • The 80-808M is the motor only without guards, eye shields, and wheels. The CBN material is on a solid aluminum wheel so there is no chance of it shattering like there is with stone wheels.
  • Also included are 4 precision ground Flat washers as well as a set of spherical washers. The spherical washers go against the Arbor nut and compensate for any uneaven presure from the nut that may cause the wheel to not run true.
  • If you use high speed Steel Turning tools you need CBN Wheels! They run cooler, never ware down, and get you back to turning more quickly!
  • The 1 HP Motor comes with a 5 year warranty from Rikon

The lower 1,750 RPM speed compared to the typical higher 3,450 RPM speed of other grinders means you have better control over the amount of metal being removed. It also means reduced heat build-up and bluing of the cutting edge being sharpened, which protects the hardness and temper of the tool.
