The EX-507XR Omni-Directional Lavalier Microphone by Azden is a high-quality microphone designed to be worn on a shirt and to capture clear audio of the wearer. With its 3.5 mm TRS plug connector, its compatible with a large range of 3rd party devices that accept a mini-plug microphone input, including wireless mic systems, digital recorders and cameras produced by popular brands. In addition, the EX-507XR is compatible with most of Azden's wireless systems including their popular WLX-PRO+i, WMS-PRO and PRO-XR systems. This lav mic offers a full spectrum frequency response with a natural contour, and a highly sensitive, omni-directional microphone element. The 4-foot long cable (approximately) is plenty of length for use with a belt-clip transmitter and the right-angle plug helps to prevent accidental disconnection. Mic includes an alligator-style lapel clip for attachment to clothing and foam windshield. The typical use scenario for the EX-507XR is with a wireless microphone body-pack transmitter for the purposes of video production. However, it can also be plugged directly into a camera, audio recorder or computer as long as the proper input is available. All that is required for your device to be compatible with the EX-507XR is that it have a 3.5 mm TRS audio input specifically designated for microphones, and that this input must also provide plug-in power (PiP) of 1-10 VDC (which most 3.5 mm mic inputs do provide by default).
