Ultra-Shear Juice Groove Bits take your cutting board projects to a new level of professionalism while saving you time & effort. Each of the 3 patterns has a unique chamfer that leads into the cove. This simplifies sanding & improves juice flow by eliminating the sharp edge created by common ball-nose bits. With 3 different styles to choose from, one is sure to fit your cutting board design.
All 3 patterns allow you some flexibility in the final appearance of your groove. Make them shallow enough that the chamfer just breaks the edge or increase the depth of cut & create a wider chamfer that adds another element. The first two bits have a full cove shape in 3/8" and 1/2" diameters & 30° lead-in chamfers. The third design is a 45° vee-groove with a 1/4" radius at the tip.
For easy and adaptable juice groove cutting, use an internal template and a template guide bushing in your router base. Our special 1" OD, 7/32” long guide bushing fits any P-C style router base. Shape a 1/4" piece 1" narrower than the groove center, attach with tape, and move counter-clockwise. For cordless palm routers, use our StabilMax Trim Router Base for better balance.

The Juice Groove Bits are compatible with CNCs & Shaper Origin. Program any pattern you want & cut away. The 3-flute design reduces the chip load by 33% & increases cuts per inch by 50%, resulting in clean, smooth cuts both with & across the grain.
The Juice Groove Bits & the template guide bushing are all available individually, or as a Set which includes all 3 Juice Groove Bits & the template guide bushing.
