A juice groove is desirable in a cutting board when cutting into certain meats, fruits or vegetables that are known to release their juices. The groove helps contain the juice to the cutting board, minimizing the mess on your countertop that would occur otherwise. The Juice Groove bit from Whiteside is a two-flute router bit that creates a groove with eased edges. This will minimize the additional work usually needed to ease the edges when using a more traditional core or round-nose bit. To use this bit, install bushing in your router base and with the router jig of your choice cut the groove in your cutting board. Alternatively, this bit can be used in a CnC machine that accepts router bits with a 1/2" shank.
