A condensed wide-angle prime, the E-mount 24mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary Lens offers out-standing edge-to-edge sharpness in a modern all-metal design. An exemplary lens for architectural, interior, wildlife, and landscape photography, the lens supplies a modestly bright f/2 maximum aperture for low-light operation and shallow depth of field control. Furthermore, its quick maximum aperture makes it a great choice for starry sky and astrophotography. The lens is composed of two SLD glass elements and one FLD glass element to rectify axial chromatic aberration. The lens also includes two high-precision glass-molded aspherical elements, which allows for the total weight of the lens to be reduced. Regarding operation and focus, this lens features a stepping motor for rapid and quiet AF functionality that suits both photo and video operations.
