Rockler Woodworking Drill Bit Knife sharpener Kit for Forstner Bits (3 Set): Keep your woodworking Forstner bits sharp with a keen edge by using our Eze-Lap Diamond Hone & Stone kit. Rather than replacing old worn router bits, sharpen them by using this sharpening tool kit. The carbide-tipped 3-piece set comes with three tools for honing the different angles of the Forstner bit. Use the large diamond hone bit for the inside cutting edge or face of the bit. The small hone blade is used to sharpen the spurs of Forstner bits. Our third rotary ceramic bit is used with a drill press to hone the inner rim of the forstner bit. This diamond honing stone kit is also used to touch up a variety of other blades and bits. —Installation Setup: Before using this drill bit sharpening kit use a piece of scrap wood and drill a hole the same size as the shank of your bit about ¾” down from the end. —Sharpening the Inside Cutters: With the mounted holder, use the diamond flat stone in a stroking motion to hone both the faces until it is smooth. —Sharpening the Outside Rims: Chuck the Ceramcut stone in the press, and set your speed to the slowest setting. Rotate the bit around the stone and sharp to the accurate level. —Sharpening Multi Spur Bits: Use the triangular file in a forward motion to hone the backs of the teeth. --- About Us: The history of Rockler Woodworking and Hardware goes back to 1954 when Norton Rockler started the Minnesota Woodworkers Supply Company in north Minneapolis.
