The Air Force Staff Sergeant Rank (SSgt) is the lowest Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) rank in the US Air Force, but is a highly saught-after rank non-the-less. This rank is the first promotion within the US Airforce awarded on a competitive basis. The embroidered design includes three silver chevrons outlined in blue with an encircled star in the center, with an additional curved chevron below the encircled star to differentiate from the SrA rank. This rank patch is sold as a pair, sews onto the shoulders of the uniform, and is 100% made in the USA. The patch measures 3 3/4 inches.
