"El Dia de Muertos" Ofrenda / Altar Classic Kit:

This kit contains:
1 Strip of Pecked paper flags (Tira de Papel Picado) with 6 flags with different designs and colors (118" inches long. Each flag is 8.6"Tall X 6.7" Wide)
6 Cempazuchil flowers 2 orange , 2 purple & 2 fucsia (they come folded and are 4.5" diameter when unfolded )
6 Rounded shredded paper Dollies (Papel Picado) the diameter is 71/2 inches with different designs and colors
1 hand-painted clay skull ( 4.5" tall x 6" long x 5" inches wide)
string of colored tissue paper 98" inches long 6" Diameter,
1 handmade colored straw placemat
1 pack of 10 hand-rolled Amae copal incense sticks
2 glass jar candles (2.7" tall x 1.38" wide)
Notes: The color in the skulls and paper dollies in each kit may vary. The shredded paper is hand-cut with a hammer and chisel.
According to the ancient cultural tradition the ' Día de Los Muertos Altar/Ofrenda must contain:
- Pictures or personal deceased's objects.
- Cross which represents the 4 cardinal points.
- Pan de Muerto (Day of the Dead Bread) represents our gift to the dead.
- Candles represent the fire element and the light that guides the souls to the altar.
- Shredded paper (Papel Picado) the union between death and life, also represents the air element.
- Clay or sugar skulls represent the dead in the family.
- Copal Incense & /or copal resin represents the earth element and moves the bad spirits away.
- Cempasuchil Flowers guides the spirits to this world.
