Mobile operations and tight patch panels call for an SDI cable of small size and high flexibility. Our Ultra-High-Flex cables, made with Canare's L-2.5CHWS stock, provide performance up to 6G but are lightweight and highly flexible; a stranded bare copper center conductor is overlain with a soft foamed PE dielectric and two tinned copper shield braids, and then jacketed in PVC. We use Canare's own BCP-B25HW BNC connectors with this cable -- they are the only BNC connector specifically designed to fit these cable dimensions, and their large knurled grip surface, tight construction and impedance stability make them ideal and, importantly, rugged -- mechanically stable enough for many, many insertions and removals. These cables are assembled by Blue Jeans Cable in our Seattle, Washington workshop. BJC has decades of experience working with SDI cable termination and we use the finest precision equipment for clean and dimensionally correct strips and powerful crimping.
