The Simplex fire alarm control panel (FACU) uses a signaling line circuit (SLC) IDNAC unit to power, address, and individually control indoor and outdoor addressable S/V notification devices mounted on walls. It comes with a separate Simplex FACU-compatible audio NAC for audio. The electronic monitoring of wiring supervision allows for easy connection of audio in T and IDNAC wiring for Class B wiring, reducing both wiring costs and distances. It can be installed in standard 4 square inch American electrical boxes with a depth of 2 1/8 inches for flush-mount installations provided by others, or in surface-mount or weatherproof (WP) back boxes for surface or WP installations.
