Woodpeckers Hole Boring Jig
Create Custom Gridwork Tops with Precision and Ease
Woodworkers around the world appreciate the versatility of a work surface with a gridwork of holes, used for clamping and securing projects. Now, with the Woodpeckers Hole Boring Jig, you can create your own gridwork top in your shop, offering a great alternative to ready-made tops. Whether you're building a custom work table or replacing a top on a MFT, this jig allows you to achieve near-CNC accuracy with just a router and a sharp bit.
Designed for Precision and Durability
The Hole Boring Jig is crafted from 3/8" thick solid phenolic material, CNC-machined for precision. The jig uses index pins placed against the corner of your table to position the template for the first group of holes. From there, you can use the already-milled holes to accurately index across the rest of the table surface. All you need is a router that accepts P-C style guide bushings and a 1/2" straight spiral, up-cut router bit, like the US5100U router bit.
Compatible with Multiple Standards
Two primary standards exist for these tabletops: 20mm holes compatible with Festool and other European-based companies, and 3/4" holes compatible with Veritas and others. The Woodpeckers Hole Boring Jig accommodates both standards, offering guide bushings and index pins for 20mm and 3/4" holes.
Versatile
For less than a replacement top for a MFT, you can have the Woodpeckers Hole Boring Jig and create multiple gridwork tops for different work surfaces in your shop. With the addition of clamps and end-stops, the possibilities for workholding arrangements on a gridwork table are endless, enhancing your efficiency and flexibility.
