In the eight channel acousto-optic alarm, the eight bit Priority encoder CD4532 translates the eight channel switching value input D0~D7 into a three bit BCD code, which is output by Q0, Q1, Q2, and is decoded by BCD latch/seven segment decoding/driver CD4511 to drive the common cathode Nixie tube to display the alarm circuit 0~7. If any of the eight channel input switches is open, the display will display the channel number and send a digital light alarm; At the same time, GS section of Priority encoder CD4532 outputs high level, making the switch triode VT1 saturated and conductive, and starting the acoustic alarm circuit. In order to reduce power consumption or prevent false display, the output signal of the allowed output terminal EO of the CD4532 is reversed, and then added to the blanking terminal BI of the CD4511, so that the Nixie tube "goes out" without alarm. When there are more than two open circuits, the Priority encoder CD4532 will give priority to displaying the numerical route number.
The acoustic alarm circuit consists of a time base integrated circuit NE555 and a six inverter CD4069. The NE555, R17, R18 and C1 form a multivibrator, and the three pins output a square wave with a period of 60s. During the low level of pin 3 output, the low-frequency multivibrator composed of U4A, U4B, R20, R21 and C3 in the CD4069 stops vibrating; The low-frequency multivibrator works during the high level of pin 3 output. When the low-frequency oscillator output is high level, the high-frequency multivibrator composed of U4E, U4F and R23, R24, C4 works. After the output signal is amplified by VT2 buffer, the speaker is pushed to emit an alarm sound similar to the beeper response sound.
