Operation
1. The specimen which meets the standard viscosity index of the product is stirred well with a small paint mixing knife, and then in the deepest part of the scraper fineness, a few drops of the specimen are dropped in order to fill the groove with a little excess as appropriate.
2. Hold the scraper with both hands and place it horizontally on the upper end of the polishing plate (at the edge of the specimen) so that the scraper is in perpendicular contact with the surface of the polishing plate.
3. In 3s, the scraper from the deep part of the groove to the shallow part of the pull through, so that the paint sample full of grooves and the flat plate does not leave a surplus of paint. Scraper pulled, immediately (not more than 5s) so that the line of sight and the plane of the groove at an angle of 15-30 °, to the light to observe the groove particles uniformly exposed, write down the readings (precise to the smallest division). If individual particles are exposed in other index lines, the reading should not be more than three particles within the range of neighboring index lines.
