The Watts Lead-Free Copper Silicon Alloy Reduced Pressure Zone Backflow Preventer Assembly with Flood Sensor provides the ultimate mechanical protection against cross-connection hazards and impurities at the service line. It is specifically designed to prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to back-siphonage and/or backpressure.
This assembly is constructed with a highly durable lead-free copper silicon alloy body, ensuring long-lasting performance and compliance with industry standards. Furnished with a bronze strainer, this lead-free assembly has large body passages that provide a low pressure drop and is also equipped with threaded quarter-turn full port resilient ball valve shutoffs with tee handles, top-mounted test cocks that are screwdriver slotted for easy turning, two in-line independent positive seating check modules, captured springs, and replaceable check seats. Additionally, it contains a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When activated through an add-on sensor connection kit, the flood sensor can send an alert to notify users of potential flooding.
This assembly is equipped with replaceable check seats with an internal relief valve for reduced space requirements, as well as a single access cover, modular check construction, and internal parts that are serviceable in-line from the top of the unit for ease of maintenance, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
