This extension fitting is for elongating pipes, in applications where the pressure does not exceed 150 lbs. In particular, the malleable iron construction has been galvanized to give it additional strength and corrosion protection, giving it improved durability characteristics. Also, this part has been 100% pressure tested in its manufacturing facility, which is an ISO 9001:2000 certified production environment. In addition, meeting the ASTM A-197 and the ANSI/ASME B16.3 and B16.14 standards, the design of the fitting has been approved by UL/ULC and FM.
