Retention mechanism
* Weak anion exchange, polar interaction, chelation.
* PSA is obtained by bonding ethylenediamine-N-propyl with silica gel, and has two amino groups. The Pka value of its conjugated acid is 10.1 and 10.9 respectively, which is similar to NH2 but has stronger ion exchange capacity than NH2 column.
* At the same time, PSA can chelate with metal ions to extract metal ions.
Application
It can be used to separate structural isomers; Extraction of compounds with polar groups in ester samples; In the pesticide residue analysis, it is used to remove polar compounds (such as carbohydrates, pigments), organic acids, phenols, etc. in the extract.
