Engine Camshaft Timing Alignment Tool Kit
1. EN-52461 Camshaft Torque Reaction Tool
- Application: for Cadillac XT4 2019 with 2.0L-T LSY engine; for Silverado and Sierra 2019 with 2.7L-T L3B engine.
- Purpose: Used during camshaft timing or actuator service to hold camshaft actuators in the timed position for oil control valve (OCV) removal and installation.
- Function: Removes slack from the timing chain before servicing the timing chain, actuators, or camshafts. It mounts to the front of the engine using an adapter set. (EN-52461-100 for 2.0L-T LSY)
- Operation: Engages with actuators to remove chain slack, locks actuators in place, and prevents tensioner extension during service.
2. EN-52462-A Camshaft Alignment Tool
- Application: for Cadillac XT4 2019-later, for Chevrolet Silverado, for GMC Sierra with 2.0L-T (RPO LSY) or 2.7L-T (RPO L3B) engines.
- Purpose: Ensures intake and exhaust camshafts are held in the timed position during valve, camshaft, actuator, or timing chain service.
- Function: Installs into camshaft timing holes through the cam cover or carrier access holes.
- Operation: Aligns camshafts by turning handles toward the rear of the engine, centering the cams in the correct timed position for actuator installation and tightening using EN-52461.
3. EN-52476 Flywheel Lock and Alignment Tool
- Application: for Cadillac XT4 2019 with 2.0L-T LSY engine; for Silverado and Sierra 2019 with 2.7L-T L3B engine.
- Purpose: Locks the flywheel in the timed position for timing chain service and secures the flywheel ring gear for fastener installation and torquing.
- Function: Installs in place of the starter and engages with the flywheel timing hole to lock the flywheel.
- Operation: Ensures proper alignment for torquing flywheel bolts, balancer bolts, and camshaft actuators. The timing pin must be retracted before torquing fasteners to avoid damage.
