Hiddenite is the pale yellow to emerald green variety of spodumene, which gets its coloration from Chromium, which is a common cause of green in gemstones.
This stone was first discovered in North Carolina and has only a handful of localities around the world. Many of the Hiddenite crystals range from a lighter yellow to a deeper green.
