Introduction to Synchronous Rectification Technology:Synchronous rectification is a technology that uses specialized power MOSFETs with very low on-resistance to replace rectifier diodes, thereby reducing rectification losses. This technology can significantly improve the efficiency of DC/DC converters and eliminates dead zone voltage caused by Schottky barrier voltage. Power MOSFETs are voltage-controlled devices, and their I-V characteristics exhibit a linear relationship when conducting. When using power MOSFETs as rectifiers, the gate voltage must be synchronized with the phase of the rectified voltage to achieve rectification, hence the term synchronous rectification. The advent of synchronous rectification technology greatly reduces rectification losses at the output of switching power supplies, improving conversion efficiency and reducing heat generation of the power supply.
