For on-the-go convenience, Swift may be powered by rechargeable battery, allowing users to bring their scale wherever it's needed. Up to 161 PLUs can be stored in the scale's memory, allowing fast recall of prices with a few simple key strokes. Because scales used to set prices by weight must be legally approved for trade to avoid fines, Swift is certified by NTEP and Measurement Canada for use in the U.S. and Canada. Swift's ABS plastic construction and stainless steel top pan are easy to clean, with specially designed drip channels below the pan to help divert spills. Swift is designed with multiple currency capability and is able to output data in several different languages. Swift's displays shows weight, unit price and total to both the user and customer on front and rear LCDs. The rear display — which allows shoppers to simultaneously view and verify quantity and price — is available in two configurations: pillar-mounted or on back of the scale. Weighing results can be quickly transmitted from Swift to a computer or printer via the RS-232 interface or optional USB.
