The firm grip has the same feel as a bearing. It is very strong and has very good tear resistance and abrasion. The soft handle is very soft, there is a very comfortable ride, great feeling and reduces the chance of bubbles. However, as the handle is so soft it wears quickly. The medium is a compromise between the two.
