Oil-based with a very high saturation magnetization. Carrier fluid is a medium volatile hydrocarbon meaning it lasts longer than others before it dries out. If it does dry out you can simply add a drop of most oils and it will reconstitute it.
Features:
Surfactants are responsible for prolonging the settling rate in ferrofluids but they also reduce the fluid's magnetic properties (specifically, the fluid's magnetic saturation)
True ferrofluids are stable. This means that the solid particles do not agglomerate or phase separate even in extremely strong magnetic fields.
Ferrofluids have an exceptionally high magnetic susceptibility, and a small bar magnet can realize the critical magnetic field for the onset of the corrugations.
Packaging: The product is packaged in a glass bottle for a long shelf life.

1- While Ferrofluid is amazing, it is also very messy stuff. Rubber gloves, safety goggles, and protective clothing should be used. Close adult supervision is required.
2- Our Ferrofluids are intended for educational and demonstration purposes only. They are not designed for use in loudspeakers or any other device. Sorry, we do not carry any Ferrofluids designed for such purposes.
