The high quality 1/4 inch quilting/patchwork sewing foot, attached to the quilting foot is an edge guide to help you make a nice 1/4 inch seam.
This is a must do for a lot of sewing with quarter inch seams. Especially when quilting, without this foot you may find it difficult to get the seams to line up perfectly.

2.for use with centre straight needles. The distance from the needle to the rail is 1/4 inch. Ideal for sewing quilts. Use this foot to fit the exact 1/4 inch. Topstitching is also wide.
