MATERIAL: The copper wire ferrules are made of 99.9% purity T2 red copper rather than brass. Pure copper has the highest electrical conductivity(IACS 100%) of any commercial metal. Brass is only 28% as conductive as copper. Some bronzes are as low as 7% as conductive as copper
FINISH: The copper wire ferrules are finished by Matte Tin Plating which is better for solderability, corrosion resistance, will also retain its original color under high temperatures, compared with Bright Tin Plating
They are carefully slipped over stripped wire and then permanently crimped into place. Once the ferrule is crimped, the wire is able to be inserted into a connector. The primary purpose of a ferrule is to prevent wire strands from fraying, breaking, or unraveling, it prevents stray wires and greatly increases the quality of the insstallation
You can use these copper wire ferrules are to make neat power and speaker wire connections for your amplifier, or use it for tackling car, truck, lawn tractor, snow blower, generators, distribution block, electrical problems or desired additions
An electric wire ferrule (sometimes electric end terminal) is a copper tube crimped over stranded wire to secure the strands within a screw terminal. Electrical insulation may be included to protect any exposed portion of the wire not completely inside the screw terminal post. Stranded wire is preferred for most electrical applications because it is more reliable than solid wire. It is more flexible and durable because repeated bending will not cause it to break. Stranded wire can be more difficult to terminate, because the individual strands tend to separate after insulation is removed. By placing the end of the stranded wire in a ferrule, the strands stay together.
