Throughout the year families and volunteers can be found at the Arctic Animal Sanctuary but at Christmas time the place is bustling. Taking care of wounded, lost, or abandoned arctic animals the sanctuary can use all the help it gets. Polar bears, arctic foxes, reindeer, snow hares, seals, and even a walrus one year have found there way here. All the animals are cared for, rehabilitated and released back to their natural habitats but a few return form year to year, just to say hello.
