A hand made wooden box that features an oval, deep carved wildflower design. Complete with a Violet finish. This richly decorated wooden box was made by skilled artisans in the Tatra Mountains of Poland. Historically, lavishly decorated boxes like this were presented as an elegant gift exclusively to royal families throughout Europe to hold their most treasured belongings. Designs traditionally highlighted Polish plants and geometric shapes found throughout centuries of architecture. Many of our Polish boxes now have a modern twist, featuring more contemporary designs such as occupations and Celtic symbols. Using only traditional woodworking techniques, these boxes are hand-carved and secured with brass or copper inlays. Each box is stained, sealed, and lacquered, ensuring its durability.
