The extra hard green resin dip treated and 1/4" sewn sisal buffs are specifically designed for aggressive cut buffing on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals. These buffs are best suited for applications that require aggressive polishing and the removal of surface imperfections. The resin dip treatment applied to the sisal buffs enhances their stiffness and polishing action compared to untreated buffs. This treatment provides a more forceful buffing experience, making it ideal for tasks that demand a stiffer buff and a higher level of abrasiveness. Additionally, the treatment extends the overall lifespan of the buffs, ensuring they can be used for a longer period of time. These sisal buffs excel at eliminating various surface imperfections commonly found on metals that have been drawn, stamped, or roll-formed. They can effectively remove orange peel textures, polishing wheel grit lines, abrasive belt lines, as well as light die marks. Furthermore, they are capable of addressing flaws left behind by machine tool marks or grinding wheel grit lines on forged parts. To prepare the surface for a virtually scratch-free finish, Cut and Color compound is applied to the sisal buffs. This compound enables the buffs to effectively remove light scratches, leaving behind a smooth surface. However, it is important to note that these buffs do leave a dull satin finish, which is suitable for subsequent color or mirror finish polishing, if required. For tasks that require a wider buffing area, it is recommended to stack two or more of these sisal buffs together. This allows for a greater working width, enabling more efficient and effective buffing. NOTE: This sisal wheel is very hard and rigid. It is recommended only for cut buffing step on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals only. Not recommended for Aluminum or Non-Ferrous Metals.
