A tension cable holds the mast upright while preventing it from snapping or accidentally detaching.

The Kayalite quickly clips onto any existing eyelet or pad eye on your deck. To secure, you simply pull the tension cord taut with a single hand and cinch it on the Kayalite′s built-in jam cleat. In a pinch, the Kayalite can be clipped to your kayak's deck rigging or carry handle, canoe bench or dinghy transom &mdash even hoisted up a mast.

This Combo Pack includes a Kayalu R25 Electric Torch which, like the Kayalite, is waterproof rated IPX8, submersible to 1000 feet (300 m) below sea level.

The Kayalite's bright white LED marker light is bolted into its base with marine-grade stainless steel hardware. The Kayalite and R25 a meet USCG Rule 25 regs for visibility of a vessel under oar (kayak, canoe, SUP, SOT, dinghy, etc.). With a Kayalite mounted on deck so as to avoid obstruction by any physical part of your kayak or canoe, this combo also meets USA inland waterways regs for paddling at night. Each light operates for over 100 hours on 3 AA alkaline batteries (included), with an LED lamp life rating of 10,000 hours of service. The Kayalite stands 18 inches tall (45 cm) and weighs approximately 11 ounces (312 g).
