Our dewar jar is the perfect tool for grinding tissue and cell cultures at liquid nitrogen temperatures. It can hold up to twelve 1.5 - 2 mL centrifuge tubes and is designed to keep them fully submerged in liquid nitrogen. The jar is equipped with plugs to cover unused holes, ensuring that liquid nitrogen is conserved and lasts for about an hour. The outer surface of the jar stays warm to the touch so it can be handled safely with bare hands. The grooves on the cover allow evaporated nitrogen to escape freely, without surprise lid jumping.
