Classroom pack of 10 prepared microscope slides with wholemount mixed diatoms. Diatoms are microalgae which reside in aquatic habitats such as fresh water and salt water. Shows characteristic structures of diatoms, including their silica cell walls. Great for biology classrooms to explore structure-function connections as per NGSS standards. Slides come in a polystyrene storage box. Each slide measures 75mm (3") wide, 25mm (1") long and 0.06" in height.
