Sturdy construction and precision made, mounts well .
Super Lightweight
The product is made of 6061 aluminum alloy. 6061 is a precipitation-hardened aluminum alloy, it's much durable, but lightweight, only 158g.
Standard 15mm Rod with Inner M12 Thread
This is a standard 15mm rod with inner M12 thread, which fits the rod rail system like rod clamp, baseplate, etc.
Its M12 thread on each end of the rod, allows extending the rod with a M12 adapter. Or prevent the devices from falling off the rod with rod cap.
Difference Between Carbon Fiber and Aluminium Alloy
1.Weight: The carbon fiber rod is lighter than the aluminum alloy one. (The carbon fiber tube has no internal thread and no extension function)
2. Inner Thread: The aluminum alloy has an M12 thread on each end of the rod so that you can extend the rod with an M12 threaded rod. BUT carbon fiber rod DON'T.
3.They are 15mm Carbon Fiber Rods. All of our Carbon Fiber Rods are without female thread/inner thread. Can not connect this two rods together. And,not recommend to connect two Carbon Fiber Rods becoz it may be easy to break due to its material. We recommend choosing aluminum alloy rods with female thread.
