Making the image plane flat enables observation of the marginal area of a visual field, reproduces sharper, more true to life colors, and minimize distortions and astigmatism. Featuring construction that complies with the most stringent US military specifications, the housing is made of light alloy for maximum durability and minimal weight. To improve water and fog resistance, the housing is dry nitrogen filled and sealed at the factory. Rubber armoring provides extra impact resistant protection and are easier to grip when wet.
